Overview
Strategy
Rather than launching TikTok Shop immediately, Hanz de Fuko spent two years building sustained creator visibility within the men’s grooming and barber community. The focus wasn’t on one-off influencer campaigns—it was on creating consistent creator-led content that built familiarity, trust, and category authority. By the time TikTok Shop launched, creators had already established demand, making commerce a natural next step rather than the starting point.
Execution
Joybyte activated a long-term creator ecosystem centered around barbers, grooming experts, and lifestyle creators who consistently produced authentic, educational content. Through continuous testing, the team identified high-performing formats like styling tutorials, product demonstrations, transformations, and grooming routines while building a library of reusable creator assets. When TikTok Shop launched, those proven creator signals were amplified through affiliates and GMV Max, allowing the brand to capitalize on demand that had already been validated.
Results
The launch demonstrated the power of sequencing. Instead of asking TikTok Shop to create trust from scratch, Hanz de Fuko entered the platform with an audience that already recognized the brand through repeated creator exposure. That existing familiarity accelerated affiliate participation, reduced purchase hesitation, and enabled TikTok Shop to become an immediate revenue channel built on years of creator-led demand rather than a cold commerce launch.
